Most people sell gold once or twice in their life, usually after a loss or a move. We built Michigan Gold Buyers so that experience feels like visiting a jeweler, not a back room: clean counters, calibrated scales, and an explanation of every number.
What we do
We buy gold, silver, platinum, jewelry, coins, bullion and sterling flatware from customers across Metro Detroit. Items are tested for purity, weighed on legal-for-trade scales and priced against the live precious-metal market.
We run three walk-in counters — Southgate, Westland and Highland Park — and serve Oakland and Macomb County sellers by private appointment.
How we work
Evaluations are free and there is never an obligation to sell. We will tell you when a piece is worth more intact than melted, when a coin has collector value above its metal, and when something is plated and worth nothing at all.
We are licensed to buy precious metals in the State of Michigan, insured, and required to record a valid state-issued photo ID for every purchase.
